Will electronic locks become mainstream among investors?
Electronic locks have been a topic of discussion in real estate lately simply because so many people have them in their homes. I have one for my home and I love it. However, electronic locks aren’t gaining traction in the investment or property management worlds right now.
Many times, that kind of technology requires a subscription, access to the internet, and/or batteries to work and it’s hard to see how they’re worth the amount of money and upkeep that they require. Eventually, that may change; we may transition into using electronic keypads rather than using the basic keyboard systems that we have now. But for now, the cost of this kind of technology prevents it from mainstream use by investors and property managers.
