If you’ve been thinking about hiring a property management company and are under the impression that they’re all basically the same, let me stop you right there—they aren’t. Just like there has been a big shift from taxis to Uber, a similar shift has happened in property management. A lot of older companies who do all their business in person and on paper are falling by the wayside because they’re not using the latest technology to appeal to their clients.
Newer property management companies use the word “resident” as opposed to “tenant,” for example. We’re finding that more and more people are leasing their properties out. As leasing committees are given a larger voice, it's important that you hire a company that's ready for your residents and their needs.
